Justice for Nolan Wells
Justice for Nolan Wells đź’›
Nolan Wells was 18, a Black college football player from Mississippi. He disappeared on July 4 during a boat trip to Horn Island, and was found dead two days later, on July 6.
Both autopsies — the state's and an independent one for his family — listed his cause and manner of death as undetermined. In September, a grand jury declined to indict anyone, saying the circumstances were consistent with drowning.
His family does not accept that as the full answer. They point to unexplained bruising at the back of his head, and they are asking for a federal investigation and for the full case file to be released. That call has been echoed by the Congressional Black Caucus and others.
LOVE believes this: every family deserves a thorough, transparent investigation — especially when the official answer is still "undetermined." Justice is not speculation about individuals. It's answers, transparency, and accountability.
Keep Nolan's family in your thoughts, and share this so the questions don't fade. đź’›
